Post-Operative Bandaging Kit
Uses
- To protect abdominal wound (colic surgery, caesarean, umbilical hernia repair, ventral sarcoids) in early post-op.
- To prevent development of post-operative oedema.
- To decrease wound contamination.
- To support sutured abdominal wall when the horse lies down or gets up.
- To prevent foal from rubbing the mare’s wound when nursing.
- To decrease risk of abdominal wound infection.
- To allow easy and prompt bandage change with incisional wound infection.
- To manage conservatively incisional hernia.
- To manage conservatively non-strangulated umbilical hernia.
- To manage conservatively ventral body wall hernia or prepubic tendon rupture.

Technical specifications
Abdominal wrap with a removable interior pocket which is washable and the mesh of which can be slit to replace absorbant drainage pad inside.
Replacements come in packets of 12 units.
The kit includes:
1 abdominal wrap, 2-4 dorsal straps (depending on the size of horse), 1 breast strap and 2 replacement interior pockets.
